BWE Conform™ continuous rotary extrusion technology is more than 40 years old but it continues to be at the forefront of new research and development in non-ferrous metal applications.
A SheathEx machine uses two aluminium rods (12.0mm or 9.5mm ø) to form a ‘seamless’ aluminium sheath around HV and EHV cables.
BWE is pleased to announce a new addition to the range of Coldweld™ machines. The new machine is designated CW4ER and is based on the highly successful and well-proven CW4E model.
This year proved to be very successful for BWE. As well as a Conform™ machine for refrigeration tube and a Conklad™ machine for specialised OPGW cables, BWE secured three further contracts for their unique SheathEx™ technology.

In March, BWE installed and commissioned a new Conform™ 315 line for the production of copper and aluminium rectangular wire (magnet wire) at the Rubí plant of Vicente Torns in Spain. The machine will be utilised initially for their copper products but the same machine can be used for aluminium.
